Missouri has no purchase permit, no registration and no waiting period. The dealer runs the federal background check when you complete ATF Form 4473. Federal age limits apply: 21 for a handgun from a dealer, 18 for a long gun. The firearm ships to the Missouri dealer you name at checkout.

Carrying a gun in Greene County
Missouri has allowed permitless concealed carry since January 2017 for adults 19 and over, and 18-year-olds with military service. Courthouses, schools, polling places, government meetings and posted property stay off limits. The concealed carry permit is still issued by the Greene County Sheriff and adds reciprocity in other states.
Hunting near Springfield
Missouri's November firearms portion of deer season opens on the Saturday before Thanksgiving week and runs eleven days, with antlerless and alternative-methods portions after it. The Department of Conservation does not allow hog hunting on its conservation areas. Centerfire rifles, shotguns, muzzleloaders and handguns are legal, and many counties have an antler-point restriction.
Greene County is Ozark plateau farmland with an antler-point restriction; the Andy Dalton range west of the city is Conservation Department run, and the Mark Twain forest is an hour east.
The Andy Dalton range is the state facility twenty minutes west, and the Ozark hills make this a bolt-rifle and turkey-shotgun market.
